Ydi is a young boy who lives in Rwanda. You have an opportunity to help Ydi. Would you please help to fund the construction of his Mobility Cart along with special air transportation to Rwanda? The Come Away Missions team leaves on July 18th. You can show the love of Christ by helping to raise at least $550. Any additional funding raised will go to help others like Ydi who deserve to have a life.
Ydi, is one of 4 precious siblings who live without an adult present in a red mud hut. The oldest sibling, Fausia, is only 15. Sadly, both parents have chosen to abandon their children in order to make a life with their new families and partners.
Until a few months ago, the siblings were living with their grandmother. Because the children's parents quit helping her, she also moved, abandoning the children.
Fausia often leaves her 3 younger siblings in search of work to earn a little money for food. When she is gone, Shaffy (9) and Samiati (7) take care of Ydi, pushing him in his worn and inadequate wheelchair to move him about. The siblings often rely on the generosity of neighbors to be fed enough to survive.
Erin Tyson, a special education teacher at Central High School, met Ydi and his siblings 4 months ago while serving as a volunteer for Come Away Missions. She and her team members are leaving for Rwanda on July 18th. They would like so much to be able to take Ydi a Mobility Cart.
Erin contacted me a few days ago to ask if Mobility Worldwide could help. Because of committed donors and volunteers like you, who want to see all leg disabled persons receive appropriate mobility devices, Mobility Worldwide said yes. We can help.
